Don't blame us if you do this workshop and want to go home and get all the gear. Working with resin is mesmerising and so satisfying. It has a mind of it's own and cannot be controlled, so make sure you come with ideas that may turn out a little different in real life.
In this 2.5 hour (approx) workshop we've chosen some lovely wooden pieces that you can use in your kitchen and show off when entertaining. Serving your dishes from something handmade is such a conversation starter and very satisfying.
First up we will all have a practice on 2 coasters to get a feel for how it flows and what you can do with the colours and then we move to your main piece - a pair of small trays or a lazy susan. Then we can have some real fun!
We will show you the basics of working with resin as your medium. The workshop will cover safety with resin, pigments + powders, equipment guide, mixing mediums, essential knowledge of working with resin and some other must-know tips and tricks. Then we need to hustle and pour our creations before the resin starts to cure and harden.
Your pieces cannot be moved for at least 24 hours so that the resin can set, so you'll leave them in our studio and they will be available to be collected from the Tuesday after your workshop.
Please note: We do not recommend this workshop to pregnant women as there are chemicals in the resins used.

All materials supplied + afternoon tea
Please select from a lazy susan (39cm diameter), 2 x long trays (29 x 10cm) or 2 x round trays (30 x 24cm + 20 x 20cm) before you add to cart. If you are booking for more than one person and you want to do different pieces, choose your piece and add it to your cart, then come back and choose another and add to your cart.
* Please note we can only keep your resin pieces for 4 weeks, so please don't forget to pick them up!

Workshop Terms and Conditions
General
We understand that life moves fast and things can change, so we want to be clear about our terms and conditions up front.
Your seat is secured once we receive full payment so check your email address carefully and look out for an automated confirmation email. If you didn't receive a confirmation email after your payment, check your junk mail. Otherwise, contact us at hello@thecraftparlour.com.au.
Please set a reminder and double-check workshop dates and times here through our website. We do not send reminder emails. You have purchased a ticket and we have held this spot for you, purchased materials and turned others away, so we can not issue credits or a refund if you do not attend. Credits or Transfers
You can transfer your ticket to another workshop, providing you give us 7 or more days notice. You can only transfer a ticket once. If the new workshop is a higher cost, you will need to pay the difference. If the new workshop is a lesser cost, we will provide a gift card for the difference.
If there is no suitable workshop, you can transfer your ticket to a gift card. The gift card will be for your ticket price, excluding the booking fee and is valid for 12 months.
If you can no longer make a class and it is less than 7 days away, we have already purchased materials and it is too late for us to resell your ticket. We encourage you to send a friend along to take your spot or gift someone your ticket and make their day!
In some cases we may be able to give you the materials to complete the workshop at home. Please email us at hello@thecraftparlour.com.au to check.
Refunds
We cannot provide a refund due to changes in your circumstances or availability.
We will offer you the choice of a refund or gift card of the ticket price, including booking fee, if we cancel a workshop. The refund or gift card will not exceed the purchase price.
Workshop Cancellations
As you would expect, we have class minimums to meet. If we do not meet them and need to cancel a class, we may do so at any time, usually a day or two before the scheduled workshop.
If we cancel or reschedule your workshop for any reason, you will be offered the choice of a refund or a gift card to the value of your ticket price, including booking fee.
Photography and Filming
We may wish to photograph or film the workshop and reserve the right to do so for the purposes of promoting future workshops or otherwise. You consent to us (or any other person attending the workshop) photographing or filming you and any persons attending the workshop with you.
Please speak to our artist or host in the studio if you do not wish to be photographed.
