WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We are located at 27 Lemana Lane, Miami QLD 4220. You won’t miss our cute little plant-filled studio!
Please note, our studio is an old house that does not have a ramp for wheelchair access. There is one step that a wheelchair would need to be lifted up over.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Parking is free and unlimited in the area! On weeknights and weekends, there is usually loads of parking available and on weekdays it may be a little bit harder so we suggest parking in Anzac Parade or close by.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINKS?
We usually provide morning or afternoon tea for our weekend workshops. We do not cater for our night workshops. For all of our workshops, you can bring your own food, soft and hard beverages. Even get an Uber Eats delivered right to our door!
For our private parties and gatherings, we do not include catering services but feel free to ask us about our favourite recommendations! We are always BYO and have plenty of beautiful glasses for you to serve your drinks in.
WHAT DO I DO IF I CAN NO LONGER COME TO A WORKSHOP?
We understand, life gets busy and things change! If you can't make a workshop we suggest you send a friend to come in your spot and sort out payment between yourselves, or make someone's day with a free crafty gift! Unfortunately, as we often turn others away to hold your spot we can not credit or refund for any no shows.
WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
Once your ticket is purchased it is non-refundable, however, you can ask someone to come in your place! Once your ticket has been booked we hold a spot for you which means if you are to swap to another date we have unfortunately lost a ticket sale. We hope you can understand it can be difficult to absorb these costs as a small business!
WHAT IS YOUR POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS?
Unfortunately we need to stand by our no refund or credits policy for no-shows, as we have held the spot for you (often turning others away) and the materials have already been purchased. You can let us know, and usually we can provide the materials for you to do the craft at home (however you may need to look up a tutorial or instructions).
DOES THE CRAFT PARLOUR OFFER WORKSHOPS FOR NDIS PARTICIPANTS?
We do not offer any specific programs for NDIS participants, however, NDIS crafters are more than welcome to join us as part of our regular craft workshops program. We encourage the NDIS crafter to complete our Service Agreement found of our NDIS Crafter page.
CAN I BRING SOMEONE TO WATCH AND NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE WORKSHOP?
Unfortunately due to space we ask that everyone who comes purchase a ticket and take part in the workshop. Of course there are exceptions to this such as carers and sign language assistants. Please note any specific needs in the notes when you book, or send us an email at hello@thecraftparlour.com.au to prepare any accommodations needed.
NDIS participants carrying a companion card will be allowed to bring a support individual as per the card procedures. This person may support the NDIS crafter, however, participating directly in the craft workshop would require a ticket purchase.
CAN I BRING MY BABY?
Babies 0-3 months old are allowed (ticket-free of course!) in most workshops, but it is a good idea to double check with us as some workshops like Resin Art involve fumes that may be harmful to babies and pregnant women.
THE WORKSHOP I WANT TO GO TO IS FULLY BOOKED! CAN YOU SQUEEZE ME IN?
We’re sorry you missed out! Our tickets go very quickly sometimes. Unfortunately we have a maximum number of people we can fit into each workshop. Email us to go on the waitlist, as sometimes a spot can open up last minute. Stay tuned for the next available one, as they often repeat in the coming months! DO I GET TO KEEP WHAT I MAKE?
YES! Most of the arts and crafts made will be taken home at the end of the workshop. Any clay that needs firing will take about 5-6 weeks and is included in the workshop price. We will contact you when your goodies have returned to the studio for collection.
CAN YOU SEND ME MY CLAY CRAFTS ONCE FIRED?
For a fee, we can send your goods within Australia or overseas. We require prepayment of the fee prior to shipping. Get in touch with us at hello@thecraftparlour.com.au to arrange shipping.
