FREESTYLE PAINTING
Do you just want to come in and paint something? People tell us that sometimes they struggle with painting classes where you need to follow along and keep up with the artist. We get it. Some days that approach is awesome and others days, thank you, but not for me.
This workshop is for those who want to spend some quality time getting creative, where you can relax and paint without trying to keep up or follow instructions. It is the ultimate you do you. Paint whatever they like on a pot, a canvas, a vase, a mug, a glass or watercolour paper. Best of all, you don't need to buy the materials or clean up! All are welcome, this one is for ages 6 to 106 (10 years and under with an adult please).
Grab a friend, a family member or come solo and let your creative spirit be your guide. We will have a creative host here and while they will not be teaching a class they will help you clarify your ideas and make some suggestions so you take home a piece you're happy with.
We will have 3 different painting options for you:
- painting terracotta pots or canvas using acrylic paint
- painting glass or ceramics using folk art paints
- painting with watercolours on good quality watercolour painting paper
There will be samples around the room to give you some inspo. We also recommend having a think about what you'd like to create and bringing along some pics.
Everyone will take home something from the list below and we can’t wait to see the beautiful pieces you create! Your masterpiece will be a true reflection of you.

No painting or artistic experience is necessary, just a willingness to have a go! It's your creative paint-splattered journey.
Suitable for ages 6+ and children from 6 - 10 years to be accompanied by an adult.

Workshop Terms and Conditions
General
We understand that life moves fast and things can change, so we want to be clear about our terms and conditions up front.
Your seat is secured once we receive full payment so check your email address carefully and look out for an automated confirmation email. If you didn't receive a confirmation email after your payment, check your junk mail. Otherwise, contact us at hello@thecraftparlour.com.au.
Please set a reminder and double-check workshop dates and times here through our website. We do not send reminder emails. You have purchased a ticket and we have held this spot for you, purchased materials and turned others away, so we can not issue credits or a refund if you do not attend. Credits or Transfers
You can transfer your ticket to another workshop, providing you give us 7 or more days notice. You can only transfer a ticket once. If the new workshop is a higher cost, you will need to pay the difference. If the new workshop is a lesser cost, we will provide a gift card for the difference.
If there is no suitable workshop, you can transfer your ticket to a gift card. The gift card will be for your ticket price, and is valid for 12 months.
If you can no longer make a class and it is less than 7 days away, we have already purchased materials and it is too late for us to resell your ticket. We encourage you to send a friend along to take your spot or gift someone your ticket and make their day!
In some cases we may be able to give you the materials to complete the workshop at home. Please email us at hello@thecraftparlour.com.au to check.
Refunds
We cannot provide a refund due to changes in your circumstances or availability.
We will offer you the choice of a refund or gift card of the ticket price if we cancel a workshop. The refund or gift card will not exceed the purchase price.
Workshop Cancellations
As you would expect, we have class minimums to meet. If we do not meet them and need to cancel a class, we may do so at any time, usually a day or two before the scheduled workshop.
If we cancel or reschedule your workshop for any reason, you will be offered the choice of another workshop, a refund or a gift card to the value of your ticket price.
Photography and Filming
We may wish to photograph or film the workshop and reserve the right to do so for the purposes of promoting future workshops or otherwise. You consent to us (or any other person attending the workshop) photographing or filming you and any persons attending the workshop with you.
Please speak to our artist or host in the studio if you do not wish to be photographed.
