WAX CARVED JEWELLERY
Roxanna from MyKind Club is coming in hot with her tool kit in tow, to show you the ancient technique of Lost Wax Casting. Used for hundreds of years, this technique truly takes on an art form of its own.
In this class, you will learn basic wax-smithing techniques to make your own original sterling silver ring. You will work with basic hand tools and files, carving wax into your own unique piece of handmade jewellery. You will be creating an exact wax replica of your eventual finished sterling silver ring.
Each individual creation will be cast in 925 sterling silver then cleaned and polished by Roxanna. Your masterpiece will be available to pick up around four weeks after at The Craft Parlour.
During the workshops we'll cover:
💍 Measuring your ring size
💍 Cutting and shaping
💍 Filing and shaping techniques
💍 Texturing techniques
💍 Polishing, finishing and preparing to cast
No experience needed, just a desire to create something you can keep forever or gift to someone special.
We are lucky to have Roxanna for this workshop. Based in Ballina, she loves using the creative process to encourage thoughtful living to enhance your wellbeing.

Workshop Terms and Conditions
General
We understand that life moves fast and things can change, so we want to be clear about our terms and conditions up front.
Your seat is secured once we receive full payment so check your email address carefully and look out for an automated confirmation email. If you didn't receive a confirmation email after your payment, check your junk mail. Otherwise, contact us at hello@thecraftparlour.com.au.
Please set a reminder and double-check workshop dates and times here through our website. We do not send reminder emails. You have purchased a ticket and we have held this spot for you, purchased materials and turned others away, so we can not issue credits or a refund if you do not attend. Feel free to contact us anytime to clarify session times - hello@thecraftparlour.com.au
If you would like to check out the full terms and conditions, you can find them here.
Credits or Transfers
You can transfer your ticket to another workshop, providing you give us 7 or more days notice. You can only transfer a ticket once. If the new workshop is a higher cost, you will need to pay the difference. If the new workshop is a lesser cost, we will provide a gift card for the difference.
If there is no suitable workshop, you can transfer your ticket to a gift card. The gift card will be for your ticket price, excluding the booking fee and is valid for 12 months.
If you can no longer make a class and it is less than 7 days away, we have already purchased materials and it is too late for us to resell your ticket. We encourage you to send a friend along to take your spot or gift someone your ticket and make their day!
In some cases we may be able to give you the materials to complete the workshop at home. Please email us at hello@thecraftparlour.com.au to check.
Refunds
We cannot provide a refund due to changes in your circumstances or availability.
We will offer you the choice of a refund or gift card of the ticket price, including booking fee, if we cancel a workshop. The refund or gift card will not exceed the purchase price.
Workshop Cancellations
As you would expect, we have class minimums to meet. If we do not meet them and need to cancel a class, we may do so at any time, usually a day or two before the scheduled workshop.
If we cancel or reschedule your workshop for any reason, you will be offered the choice of another workshop, a refund or a gift card to the value of your ticket price, including booking fee.
Photography and Filming
We may wish to photograph or film the workshop and reserve the right to do so for the purposes of promoting future workshops or otherwise. You consent to us (or any other person attending the workshop) photographing or filming you and any persons attending the workshop with you.
Please speak to our artist or host in the studio if you do not wish to be photographed.
